Death Cab for Cutie

Note: Thanks to our MANY astute readers, it came to our attention that these links don’t work from an outside source. You have to cut and paste the links into your browser window. We’re all about hassle-free here at 3hive, so grab these while you can. They’ll be pulled down shortly.

An astute 3hive reader, Si, suggests we don’t overlook the obvious and feature one of the current kings of the indie world. Emo, in the hands of mature, keen songwriters instead of boy bands, whose first concern is their hair-do’s, turns out to be a really, really good thing.

  1. I think they're blocking links that come from an external referrer. When I click the link, it doesn't work at first. When I paste the address into the URL bar and hit enter it does.

  2. looks like death cab have taken some cost-cutting measures. those were high-quality MP3s a few weeks ago. anyway, stats have been updated, barsuk link should work. thanks for the collaborative QA 🙂

  3. Sure, the quality is low, and the download is a pain, but it’s worth it for “Title and Registration” alone. Free downloads may have succeeded at roping in another consumer.
/me runs to their website to find more music for sale.

  4. I am on Mac OSX and the links work fine. Right or control click on the link and select copy link to clipboard, then paste it into the adress box.

  5. Death Cab is an amazing band. I can't stress it enough. Every song is lyrically genius and beautiful and well written. Every album is so great. I died when I saw them live last year and died again when Ben Gibbard hugged me. Oh oh oh.

  6. I've been listening to death cab since their first album came out, I'm glad they are starting to get more attention. Their first album is by far the best, and my fav song is 'steadier footing' i think off of their 3rd album. Check it out
