Super low-key, starry, fuzzy music from DC, good for cool, late summer nights, waiting for fall. (Sorry if the blurb here is a little too thin; work beckons. If anyone wants to editorialize a bit, go ahead and hit the Comments.)

i saw this band a few months ago. they are greaattt. tear down the tents is such a great song.
Simple melodies built on slothlike tempos, Pagoda's songs are glowing embers, insulated in the ashes of a smoldering summer campfire. Atmospheric and minimalist, these tracks are like packing up camp before a cold snap.
Am I out of line for thinking this sounds like it could have come right off the Garden State soundtrack? I know a lot of people think he chose crappy cliche music, but I like it… and I think this fits right into that genre.
Reminds me of some of Yo La Tengo's slower stuff…like off of Summer Sun. Sounds really good.
