New Jersey trio The Insomniacs’ new 7″ single, Today’s The Way, is a head bobbing, toe tapping, power pop gem. My favorite of the two tracks is the B-side “Mr. Yesterday”, it’s snotty as hell and I can’t get enough of it. Both songs are available to stream below.
You can get the vinyl (recommended)/stream/download from the Hidden Volume Bandcamp page. Enjoy.

Trevor Laws -LDT- Laws is a decent backup to spell Patterson and Bunkley for some plays to give them some rest. The nfl wants a leader who can stay in the pocket and buy the ball down spot. An actual football or soccer ball, sports cards, Nerf balls, sports drinks or water bottles, hair ties, sweat bands, jerseys and even power vip jersey store bars for snacks would all be great. Of course keeping that ratio should be extremely difficult if possible. They took the actual balls ahead of the game in order to shorten the time which the ball is in the domestic cold inhale.

Whenever they meet up, it explains the very best in every player and swiftly is always a close one, subject their positions in the standings. Which will take the pressure off the balls among the feet and spreads it across total bottom within the shoe. But the house isn’t about to allow you walk away with their funds so easily. This complaint and complaint are unique to major league baseball.
Steffi Wach Love it. Fits perfectly and perfect for a soccer match.
Guille Lenci Definitely order based on US sizing and I would suggest ordering 1 size larger. The back pockets are large enough to store what you need to carry. The zipper is on the opposite side of what you would expect.
Georgia Keen These are not high quality which was exactly what I expected. I was looking for a cheap set of jerseys for practice for an elementary aged boys basketball team. GREAT VALUE!
Vincent Vigal Great price. Comfortable for around the house.
Cameron Lusted Love these sheets! My husband has been asking for flannel sheets for winter months for several years, and I hate paying top dollar for junk sheet sets, let alone the fact that I don’t want to sweat my way through the night in flannel. ANYWAY I was browsing Amazon and saw these for a low price so I thought I’d give them a try. They are nothing short of fantastic. They are warm, but not hot. They lie flat, they are soft and smooth, and they don’t bunch. I just purchased additional sets for my kiddos’ beds. Mom and wife of the year award. Boom.
Arvid is the solo project of Rochester, NY musician Luke Ross. Luke recorded Old Factory Living, for over 7 months to a 4-track in his attic. The result is a raw, solid album of lo-fi goodness. Check out “Stage Fright” and “Wasted” below for a sample.
Old Factory Living is available to stream/download from the Arvid Bandcamp page. Enjoy.
Anyone who follows this site is well aware of how much I am a fan of all things psychedelia. Springtime Carnivore is no exception. Greta Morgan’s colorful, warm mixture of pop and psych grabbed my attention from the first listen of “Name On A Matchbook” (below) and I haven’t stopped listening since.
Springtime Carnivore’s self-titled debut is out now on Autumn Tone Records. I highly recommend it.
Portland, Oregon’s Lubec is one of the the reasons I love writing for this site. There is nothing better than opening an email and having a gem (like their debut release THE THRALL) staring me in the face, daring me to click play. In this instance I am so glad that I did.
Lubec’s fuzzy, lo-fi, shoegaze meets garage-pop brand of music mixed with three-part vocal harmonies was instantly captivating and has been in heavy rotation since my first listen. Check out album opener “Almost Vince” (below) for a taste. THE THRALL is available now on cassette from Like Young Records and available digitally on Lubec’s Bandcamp page. Enjoy.
Philadelphia trio Purling Hiss’ new album Weirdon is 11 tracks of fuzz drenched, poppy goodness. Check out toe tapper “Learning Slowly” (below) for a taste of the goodness.
Weirdon is available now from Drag City. You should buy it.
Canada’s Alvvays (pronounced “Always”) bring a fuzzy, sugar-coated brand of indie pop that is almost impossible to stop consuming.
My favorite track from their self-titled debut (and one of my favorite tracks of the year) “Archie, Marry Me” (below) is a perfect example of their sweetness. I obsess over this song almost as much as Sean obsesses over Veronica Falls.
Alvvays self-titled LP is available now from Polyvinyl. I highly recommend it.
What better way is there to follow the face melting goodness of Wand than the dreamy electro-beats from Slow Magic?
There is not much out there about Slow Magic. What I can tell you is this masked man’s music is some super chilled-out, head-bobbing, beat-driven, seat-dance inducing electronica. Check out “Girls” below for a taste. Slow Magic’s sophomore release (and first with Downtown Records) How To Run Away, is available now through his Bandcamp page.
The newest release from New York’s Tyburn Saints, With The Night In Our Eyes, is a solid six songs of dark, haunting, post-rock meets electro-pop music that oozes the 1980’s. Check out the dark yet shimmery “A Way With Her” below. It’s my favorite track from the album. With The Night In Our Eyes is available to purchase from Tyburn Saints’ Bandcamp page. Enjoy.
Bishop Allen really shouldn’t need an introduction on this site. In fact, they have been mentioned a few times in previous posts. Needless to say, we are big fans of Bishop Allen’s infectious brand of pop music.
Five years removed from their killer release, Grrr…, Bishop Allen are set to unleash their fouth LP, Lights Out, to the masses on Tuesday (August 19). Lights Out picks up right were Grrr… left off, delivering 12 more solid pieces of indie-pop ear candy. Check out tracks “Start Again” and “Why I Had To Go” from Lights Out below, then get yourself over to Dead Oceans site and snag yourself a copy. Enjoy.
